Now Hiring AGV Manager for large food distribution center in Palmdale, CA.

Job Purpose: Manage and monitor all AGV Operations to create and maintain and even flow that is effective but safe while running AGVs throughput to the maximum possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor all loads being received to ensure processes are being followed to get pallets within specs for the AGV Conveyor.
- Assign Forklift operators to verify pallet readiness and feed the conveyor and maintain pallet flow.
- Verify pallet quality to the conveyor to maintain optimum throughput.
- Report any mechanical issues to onsite maintenance to maintain vehicles in top shape for daily operations.
- Monitor all 3 system’s (GOLD, EMS, ATOM) communication and work with IT Department to escalate concerns.
- Monitor issues with AGVs and troubleshoot.
- Ensure that the receiving processes are being followed, verify receiving and tagging process.
- Ensure AGV map is being followed and address any changes needed.
- Report and address aisle cleanliness to maintain an even and safe flow for the AGVs.
- Monitor AGV targets for navigation and keep up with the maintenance.
- Follow POs process for maintenance and parts ordered to maintain AGVs operational.
- Keep control of Swap locations for pallets that AGVs perform FIFO on.
- Review daily production, throughput, and error reports to maintain best performance.
- Supervise and monitor inventory concerns and report any discrepancies.
- Work side by side with inventory to create common knowledge and address inventory issues together.
- Ensure pallet tasking is being performed correctly.
- Maintain a safe and well organize space.
- Monitor attendance, lunch breaks and days off.
- Monitor Receiving operations.
- Monitor AGV operations.
- Monitor AGV production numbers.
