Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Batch Operator to join our team. As a Batch Operator, you will play a critical role in our chocolate production process. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and efficient mixing of ingredients to create high-quality chocolate products. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for adhering to all safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
● Operate mixing and batching equipment to prepare chocolate batches according to company recipes.
● Follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols to maintain a clean and sanitized work environment.
● Ensure that all ingredients are accurately measured and added in the correct order to produce high-quality products.
● Lift and move ingredients and supplies, including heavy bags and containers, as part of the batching process.
● Perform routine maintenance checks on batching equipment and notify the supervisor of any issues.
● Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth production and meet production goals.
● Monitor and ensure that all batches meet company quality standards before being sent to the next phase of production.
● Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, including wearing hairnets, non-slip shoes, and other required safety gear.
● Comply with company policies regarding food safety, including no jewelry, proper handwashing, and use of PPE.
Qualifications:
● Must be able to work in an environment where peanuts and other allergens are present. No peanut allergies are allowed.
● Ability to lift heavy objects, sometimes up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
● Ability to follow precise instructions and maintain high levels of accuracy.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
● Must wear proper food safety PPE, including hairnet, non-slip shoes, and comply with all food safety and hygiene standards.
● Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to stand for long periods of time.
● Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items during the batching process.
● Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
