Job Title: Sanitation Technician
Pay Rate: $14-$16/ hr.
Shift: 1st and 2nd available
Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D
Sanitation Role & Responsibility:
The Sanitation technician is responsible for carrying out cleaning and sanitizing task in compliance with Fresh Express food safety and sanitation standards. The technician must understand sanitation requirements as it relates to the seven steps of effective sanitation, perform assignments in accordance with training given and display an acceptable level of competency with all sanitation requirements. He/She can carry out the task given within a duration of 8 hours depending on task assigned.
Job Function Statements – Essential Functions:
- Cleaning and sanitizing the facility’s processing equipment.
- Perform dry pick up and trash removal during and after the facility’s production period.
- Understands and executes the task following the seven steps of sanitation.
- Responsible for proper use of chemical solutions.
- Responsible to use proper cleaning tools in accordance with sanitation color coding and proper design.
- Comply with safety and food safety rules including GMP’s, HACCP, Allergen control, Food Fraud, LOTO, PPE requirements.
- Ability to work in a wet or cold environment of temperature between 32-36 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Perform other sanitary duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Physical requirements: must be able to stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours or more), perform repetitive motions throughout shift such as push/pull/lift, bend continuously throughout the shift, lift 35 pounds and be able to climb stairs or step up onto a platform several times throughout the shift.
- Must be able to work in a noisy, wet, and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Must be able to work 6 consecutive days, overtime, weekends, and holidays if necessary.

Experience:
- 6 months work experience
Education/Training:
- High school preferred
