What are the responsibilities and job description for the ERSEA Manager position at Fulmont Early Childhood Services?
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the ERSEA component area, as well as overall planning, administration and implementation of the ERSEA content area in the accordance with the Head Start Federal Performance Standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensure a safe workplace by enforcing Agency safety policies and any State, Federal or other applicable safety regulations.
Remain up to date and follow all FCAA and Head Start, and NYS Day Care Regulations, policies and procedures.
Remain up to date on all NYS and federal transportation regulations and communicate revisions and new regulations to Head Start staff and the contracted bus company.
Input and maintain data into ChildPlus.
Plan and participate in Parent/Child Orientation sessions in coordination with the management team.
Participate in Management and Staff Meetings.
Participate in screening meetings as scheduled by the Operations Manager.
Inform the management team of any issues or concerns regarding the operation of the program.
Conduct job performance evaluations on transportation staff and recruiters, and provide input to the management team for other staff evaluations.
Develop and implement a plan and system of continuous monitoring and evaluation of the programs compliance according the Head Start standards.
Participate in the self-assessment and community assessment process.
Schedule and facilitate screening meetings, as necessary, with the management team.
Develop and implement recruitment plan for Head Start Program and ensure that enrollment requirements are met.
Input and maintain data into ChildPlus.
Monitor enrollment numbers and report them to Director
Review and monitor all ERESA paperwork as its received and completed.
Complete monthly attendance percentages.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises all Recruiters. Conducts supervisory duties in accordance with FCAA and CSEA Union policies regarding interviewing, hiring, and training of staff, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising staff performance, disciplining staff, and solving problems and issues.
SIGNATURE AUTHORITY
Time sheets/mileage sheets; delivery receipts; receipt of goods and services stamp; general business-related correspondence/letters; internal program specific documents.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Prior supervisory experience required. Prior work experience in the field of preschool education and/or transportation experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents and written communications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively speak in both one-on-one and group situations involving children, parents, staff and community members. Bilingual a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to utilize basic math skills, such as counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to effectively and efficiently problem solve.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Driver License. CPR/First Aid Certification a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Reliable transportation required. Basic computer skills a plus.
