Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Sprinkler Service and Install Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Fire Sprinkler protection systems, be able to read blueprints, and have hands-on experience with running service calls. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring safety standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Install and assemble fire sprinkler systems according to specifications and codes.
- Run scheduled fire sprinkler system repair service calls at multifamily facilities throughout the Houston area.
- RME-I licensed technicians will also help run sprinkler inspections, alongside a Fire Alarm Technician and/or inspection crew, of multifamily properties (Apartments).
- Maintain a clean, safe and productive work environment for all construction and service jobs.
- Will be leading the work of others, including subs, to complete projects and service calls.
- Train customers on how to use the sprinkler system and troubleshoot any issues.
- Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair alarm system malfunctions.
- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Maintain good relationship with Project Managers and Property Managers.
- Liaison with vendors, subs and main office in scheduling and ordering material and labor in order to complete projects.
Skills
- Proficient in maintaining fire sprinkler systems with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Be willing to take direction and complete necessary documentation for all jobs or company related requirements.
- Strong ability in blueprint reading to accurately follow technical drawings.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations in installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to work with other employee's and subs to maintain a good working relationship in order to efficiently schedule needed work.
- Be organized, reliable and self-motivated.
- Be proficient in hand tools as well as all other trade specific tools and equipment.
- Applicants with a Texas Responsible Managing Employee - General Inspector (RME-I) or Texas Responsible Managing Employee - General (RME-G), are a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- State Backflow testing and repair certification, preferred
- Forklift and scissor lift certification, preferred
- Nicet II & III certification, preferred
- Understanding of NFPA codes and standards

Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
