What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Surgical Services position at Fulton County Medical Center?
FCMC has an opening for a full time day shift RN. Surgical Services nurse is a professional registered nurse who, under the direction of the manager, provides nursing care to the surgical patients during the pre-operative, surgical, and immediate post-operative period, as well as being responsible for the smooth operation of the Operating Room while surgery is in progress.
POSITION SUMMARY:
II. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATE/REGISTRATION: 1. Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current RN registration with the state of Pennsylvania. Three (3) years experience as an RN in Acute/Med Surg with Telemetry is required. One (1) -two (2) years as an RN in CCU, ICU, OR, PACU preferred. Operating Room experience preferred. ACLS certified within 6 months of hire. PALS certified within one (1) year of hire.
