What’s on offer?
An opportunity has recently arisen for an experienced Supervisor to join the Blue Rock Quarry Team based at Cedar Creek. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will be an integral member of the team and responsible for overseeing the quarry’s development, drill and blast, extraction , mobile crushing and load and haul operations to meet quarry goals.
In this position you will be:
- Contributing to and conducting daily toolbox talks.
- Planning and coordinating quarry development, mobile crushing, drill and blast and load and haul operations in conjunction with the Quarry Manager.
- Supervising onsite safety, production, quality and environmental activities to meet Fulton Hogan requirements.
- Be willing to relieve the SSE when on leave ensuring effective people management skills as well as reporting.
We are seeking demonstrated experience in supervision within quarrying, and ideally Cert IV in Extractive Industries or SSE (MMQ) Practising Certificate in QLD together with:
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to positively influence and lead a team.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve as required.
- Proven commitment to zero harm.
- Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of P&L.
