What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Programmer/Analyst position at Fulton Montgomery Community College- Johnstown?
FMCC has an immediate opening for a full-time Computer Programmer/Analyst in the College IT Department. Minimum duties include: the responsibility of performing work in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of database management systems, operating systems, data communication systems, and/or computer applications. Work is performed perform under general supervision, with some latitude for exercising independent judgment in planning and carrying out assigned duties. Related work as required.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; or, Associate’s Degree with two years’ experience with Computer Application Programming to include: Microsoft Visual Studio with C , C#, or Visual Basic; SQL, .Net, Access, HTML, web development and/web programming; or, HS Diploma/GED and four years of experience Microsoft Visual Studio with C , C#, or Visual Basic; SQL, .Net, Access, HTML, web development and/web programming; or a satisfactory equivalent combination of training and experience.
Work hours are from Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm.

It is a provisional civil service position that will lead to a permanent, but requires to take the Computer Programmer/Analyst Civil Service test (when it comes available) and be reachable on the competitive exam. All applicants must be residents of Montgomery or Fulton County.
