Floater Teacher

Full-time Floater Teacher needed at downtown Preschool. Our school is close-knit and family-like, with smaller ratios in our classrooms.

Job Description: A floater teacher is responsible for the care and education of children in multiple age groups. A floater teacher assists classroom teachers with activities, and provides coverage for teachers during their lunch breaks. A floater teacher also serves as a substitute in the absence of a classroom teacher. In addition, floater teachers may assume full responsibility of classrooms during the afternoon for closing hours, or provide childcare as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Cleared Level 2 Child Care Background Screening
• CDA/Staff Credential preferred
• DCF 45 hours of childcare training preferred but not required
• At least 1 year of preschool/child care experience required
• CPR/First Aid preferred
