Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise body shop technicians and assign daily tasks
- Interpret job orders and assign duties to team members
- Conduct safety meetings and manage local safety program reporting
- Motivate and support employees to meet performance and quality standards
- Maintain accurate timekeeping for shop employees
- Study production schedules to estimate labor requirements
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production goals
- Ensure all products meet specifications and quality standards
- Analyze and resolve work problems; assist technicians when needed
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain equipment and coordinate necessary service or repairs
- Enforce safety standards and housekeeping practices throughout the shop
- Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and quality
- Coordinate activities with other departments to optimize workflow
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and conformance to specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an automotive or RV body shop leadership role
- Knowledge of RV repair, carpentry, fiberglass, and electrical systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret job specifications and schedules
- Proficient with computer software used for scheduling and timekeeping
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and using hands and arms
- Must be able to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to lift and move up to 25-50 pounds
- Vision requirements include close, peripheral, and depth perception with ability to adjust focus
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
