We are seeking a detail-oriented Parts Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers with parts selection, processing transactions, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, enjoy helping customers, and thrive in a hands-on role. They should be able to work efficiently and accurately, handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly and knowledgeable approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and handle phone inquiries professionally.
- Assist customers in selecting parts/items with a friendly and knowledgeable approach.
- Provide accurate price quotes and product details in person and over the phone.
- Process transactions efficiently and accurately at checkout.
- Manage special orders, notifying customers and relevant team members upon arrival.
- Monitor inventory levels, report out-of-stock items, and restock daily.
- Pull and fulfill orders from existing stock.
- Follow up on back-ordered items to ensure timely fulfillment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn inventory management software.
- Some cash handling experience is preferred.
- Availability to work weekends as needed.
- Comfortable standing for long periods during shifts.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills for effective customer interactions.
- This position requires regular standing, walking, hand use, reaching, and communication.
- Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, and activities like stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling are also required.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 15 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus.
