Job Title :  Business Development Manager - East

Department :  Sales

Reports to :  Sales Director

Travel Requirements :  Approximately 35%

Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to oversee the Eastern region in the hemp beverage industry. This role focuses on territory revenue management, team leadership, and key account development. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of sales leadership in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) space, with a preference for beverage alcohol (Bev-Alc) experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Territory Revenue Management (40%)

  • Achieve monthly revenue budget targets for each market within the assigned territory.
  • Identify account gaps, uncover opportunities, and develop tailored solutions to address in-market challenges proactively.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline comprising leads and revenue opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate sales pipeline updates to the Sales team and actively pursue growth initiatives.

2. Territory Team Management (40%)

  • Lead and manage a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs).
  • Coach, train, and develop the team on sales best practices, standards, and expectations.
  • Monitor and hold team members accountable for achieving monthly key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prioritize tasks and provide focused coaching to drive revenue growth.
  • Utilize Encompass ERP to track and assess team productivity.
  • 3. Key Account Development (20%)

  • Identify chain account opportunities across various channels within the territory.
  • Establish relationships with key buyers and position the company as a preferred partner.
  • Drive strategic growth in high-priority accounts.
  • Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CPG sales team management; Bev-Alc experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with sales management tools such as VIP SRS or Encompass ERP.
