Role and Responsibilities
At Functional Medicine of Idaho (FMI), we are dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve optimal health through personalized, integrative care. As a Clinical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of both administrative and clinical functions, combining leadership, critical thinking, and compassionate care to guide the clinical support team. You will work closely with the Medical Director to develop goals, implement policies, and foster a culture of excellence and teamwork. Provide oversight and support for daily clinic operations, acting as a resource for management and clinical patient care.Establish and implement clinic goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems.Ensure smooth clinic operations by overseeing compliance, staffing, and workflow optimization.Participate in hiring, onboarding, and supervising the clinical support team.Foster team building and personal development within the clinical team.Conduct performance reviews and provide counseling to clinical staff as needed.Participate in daily team huddles and relevant management meetings.Act as the point of contact for acute clinical issues, addressing patient needs and staff questions.Ensure the clinic operates efficiently and meets regulatory and compliance standards.Collaborate with providers and support staff to address patient care challenges and streamline operations.Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and monitor compliance with clinic policies.Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning for clinical services.Perform recruiting, onboarding efforts, and training for new hires within clinical departments.Perform other related duties as assigned by the Medical Director.Qualifications and / or Work Experience Requirements
Education : Associates degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.Licensure : Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Medical Assistant Lead or Registered Nurse in the state of employment Preferred.Certifications : Current BLS certification Preferred.Experience : 3-5 years in healthcare, with management / leadership experience in a clinical setting.Awareness of Functional Medicine mindset and practices PreferredPreferred Skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage diverse teams in a dynamic environment.Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with patients, team members, and stakeholders.Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management capabilities.High emotional intelligence, cultural competence, and a passion for health, wellness, and functional medicine.Proficiency in multitasking, prioritizing assignments, and maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced setting.Knowledge of regulatory standards, compliance requirements, and healthcare operations.Functional Medicine experience and familiarity preferred.Proficiency in EMR systems and general computer literacy.Commitment to continuous learning and personal development.Equal Opportunity Employer
