The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. To this end, in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), FPHNYC incubates innovative public health initiatives implemented by DOHMH to advance community health throughout the city. It facilitates partnerships, often new and unconventional, between government and the private sector to develop, test, and launch new initiatives. These collaborations speed the execution of demonstration projects, effect expansion of successful pilot programs, and support rapid implementation to meet the public health needs of individuals, families, and communities across New York City.

Position Overview
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYCDOHMH), Public Health Laboratory is seeking to hire a qualified Coordinator. The mission of the Public Health Laboratory is to safeguard the health all New York City residents by providing quality laboratory testing services that address the needs of the NYC DOHMH and its community partners to prevent and respond to food, clinical and environmental public health concerns. Responsibilities
Duties will include but not limited to:
- Assist with procurement processes and services, validate invoices, coordinate instrument servicing, and organize procurement needs.
- Assist with resources and services including but not limited to critical laboratory supplies, inventory system oversight, grant procurement and courier services.
- Assist in the coordination and planning of procurement and moving for NYC PHL's relocation.
- Assist with the payment of bills with accounts payable team
- Work with Finance team on budgets and allocating funds for laboratory supplies
- Liaison with laboratory staff about procurement needs in multiple laboratories
- Procurement Experience
- HS Equivalency with 5-10 years of fiscal experience or bachelor’s degree
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Annual Salary range is $70,000-75,000
