Responsibilities
Ensuring Child Safety: Safely transport children to and from the daycare, school, and other activities, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Proper Seating: Make sure all children are seated properly, using seat belts or child safety seats as required.
Monitoring Behavior: Supervise children on the bus to ensure they follow safety rules and behave appropriately.
- Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to handle emergencies, such as breakdowns, accidents, or medical issues, and know the proper protocols.
- Staff Coordination: Work closely with daycare staff to ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs and to accommodate any special needs.
Qualifications
- Licensing and Training: Maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and any required endorsements, as well as complete periodic training on child safety and transportation.
