Job Title: Toddler Room Teacher
Job Summary: The Toddler Room Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers. They will work closely with other teachers, assistant teachers, and the daycare director to plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a creative and engaging curriculum that is appropriate for toddlers and aligns with the center's educational philosophy.
- Create a secure, comforting, and engaging atmosphere for kids, promoting their growth across various domains such as social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Observe and assess each child's growth and development, adjusting activities and teaching methods to support individual needs and progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents to share information about their child's progress, achievements, and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other teachers, assistant teachers, and the daycare director to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience for all children in the center.
- Attend and participate in safety, first aid, and CPR training as required.
- Ensure that the classroom and play areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Provide support and guidance to assistant teachers and other staff members in the toddler room, fostering a team-based approach to child care and education.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience. Certifications or a degree in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain these certifications within a specified time frame.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate activities, learning techniques, and child development principles.
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to the varying needs of children and the center.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
