Fundamental Media is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic Boston office. This role is part of our Search Engine Marketing team, which delivers exceptional performance, data-driven insights, and in-depth analytics to clients in the Finance, Higher and Business Education sectors.

The Role
As a Paid Search Specialist, you will be responsible for executing high-level campaign strategies and translating them into impactful optimizations. You will analyze and interpret data, identify opportunities for growth, and collaborate closely with both clients and the SEM team to refine and enhance campaign performance.
We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Paid Search Specialist who is passionate about digital marketing and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SEM, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive mindset to drive campaign success. You will play a critical role in optimizing campaign performance, providing data-driven insights, and supporting both team and client success.
Responsibilities will include:
Campaign Execution & Optimization
• Assist the paid search team in translating high-level campaign strategies into actionable optimizations.
• Analyze and interpret campaign performance data to inform decision-making.
• Act as a key contributor to the management team, providing insights that shape strategy, reporting, and forecasting.
Team Support & Leadership
• Serve as the first point of contact for account-related assistance requested by specialists.
• Support the training and development of new hires, helping them grow within the team.
• Collaborate with SEM managers in reviewing and reporting on monthly and quarterly account performance.
Collaboration & Initiative
• Take part in cross-functional projects and initiatives beyond standard account management responsibilities.
• Assist in planning and organizing team-building activities, lunches, and social events (Boston office-based role).

What You Bring to the Role:
Experience & Expertise:
• 2 years of experience in SEM, Biddable Media, or a Marketing Analyst role.
• A solid understanding of campaign optimization, analytics, and performance-driven marketing.
Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
• A strong passion for analyzing campaign data and optimizing for the best possible outcomes.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of campaign management.
• The ability to make intelligent, well-informed decisions under tight deadlines.
Industry Awareness & Collaboration:
• A keen interest in media trends, business, and finance, staying ahead of industry developments.
• A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and stakeholders.
• Support the team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement.
Mindset & Professionalism:
• A proactive, can-do attitude with a commitment to excellence.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Technical Skills & Certifications:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, particularly Excel.
• Google Ads and Bing Ads certifications (preferred).
