Position: Behavioral Support SpecialistAs a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will have a significant opportunity to empower youths with behavioral health needs, inspire positive outcomes, and cultivate a safe and nourishing environment. Working collaboratively with individuals, families, and other professionals, you will implement personalized support plans, offer direct assistance, and facilitate skill development. This position is available in either our Education program (8 AM - 4 PM) or our Community Integration program (1 PM - 8 PM).Responsibilities:Direct Support:- Provide one-on-one and small group support to youth, assisting with daily living activities, skill development, and behavioral interventions as outlined in individualized support plans.Behavioral Support:- Implement and monitor behavioral support plans, utilizing positive reinforcement and evidence-based strategies to address challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes.Communication & Collaboration:- Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members accurately documenting progress and concerns.Skill Development:- Assist youth in developing and maintaining skills in communication, self-care, social interaction, and leisure activities.Safety & Well-being:- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for youth, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.Documentation:- Keep accurate and timely records of individual progress, interventions, and incidents.Training & Development:- Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.Qualifications:Education:- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, human services) preferred.Experience:- Previous experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs or disabilities is highly desirable.Skills:- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; knowledge of positive behavioral interventions and trauma-informed care principles.Other:- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required depending on the role.Benefits:- Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, & Bereavement- 401k with a 4% employer match- Medical, Dental, & Vision- Supplemental Insurance- Employee Assistance Program
