Position: Funeral Home Assistant – Part-time

About Us: We’re a Fort Bragg Funeral Home, looking for a dedicated part-time Funeral Home Assistant. Our priority is to provide families with a supportive and caring experience during their difficult times.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and plan funerals, maintaining a professional and empathetic customer service approach.
Learn and adhere to all procedures and regulations, ensuring compliance with state laws and company policies.
Maintain clean and safe facilities and equipment.
Assist in the care, removal, and transportation of human remains in accordance with legal and company guidelines.
Requirements:
OFFICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Substantial office experience with a strong understanding of office protocols.
Proficient in customer service in a detail-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
Safe driving skills with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.
Proficiency in office equipment and computer software for record keeping.
Effective communication and etiquette in service and product sales.
Willingness to undergo training for Funeral Arranger certification.
Working Conditions:
Blend of office work, family meetings, housekeeping tasks, and driving.
Varied conditions including outdoor exposure and non-climate controlled areas.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety standards.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and assist with heavy loads.
Various physical movements including twisting, bending, and reaching.
