Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mortuary Removal/Transport professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the respectful and timely transportation of deceased individuals from various locations to our facility. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to handle sensitive situations with care and professionalism.
Duties
- Safely transport deceased individuals from homes, hospitals, or other locations to the mortuary.
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of stretchers and caskets as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with families and staff during transport, providing support and information as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving, including maintaining a valid driver's license.
- Assist with additional duties related to mortuary services as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a customer service role, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with transporting individuals.
- Experience in commercial driving or delivery driving is preferred; limousine or shuttle driving experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with families and team members.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to maintain composure in sensitive situations while providing excellent service.
