What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Community Outreach Liaison: Help Solve the Literacy Crisis position at FUNetix 12 Hour Reading App - Its FREE, Its EASY, Its FUN?
FUNetix is a patented, science-based, and incredibly simplified way of teaching reading to children that's available to parents and children anywhere in the United States and anywhere in the world. The FUNetix 12 hours Reading App is available in the App Store, Google Play store and Amazon App store.
FUNetix is 19-years-new, but in some ways, it is more than 2,000 years old.
Indeed, the patented FUNetix Reading Decoding System is rooted in an ancient methodology that shows readers how to see the hidden sounds in every word.
FUNetix earned its patent by borrowing the time-tested method called "diacritics" (which was developed more than 2,000 years ago by the Greeks, and adopted more than 1,000 years ago by the Hebrew and Arabic languages, to teach ALL children how to read those languages), and uniquely, completely and systematically applying it to English in a child-friendly and simple way.
FUNetix teaches children how to "map" or "marry" all 44 sounds of the English language to the letters and letter combinations that make up English words. This mapping (made easy by diacritics) takes all of the guesswork out of "sounding out" words.

Have you ever wanted to do something AMAZING to change the world but didn't know where to start ?
Here is an opportunity to join the American Youth Literacy Foundation, an all- volunteer 501 c 3 charitable non-profit organization, founded in 2008 and dedicated to creating a future in which all children, in every classroom in America, learn how to read by the end of 3rd grade.
More than 1 million children drop out of school every year completely illiterate.
Our mission is to change that and to bring about true educational equity in the next two years with an AMAZING new technology that can teach ANY child how to read in just 12 hours and is 100% FREE! It's called the FUNetix 12 Hour Reading App.
With the FUNetix app, ANY child can learn how to read in just 12 hours, just by playing the app. But unless parents, teachers and community leaders find out about the app, the children will continue to suffer.
You can see our app at FUNetix.org.
We are looking for motivated, compassionate, talented volunteers who will help us execute on a variety of community oriented programs to get the word out about this AMAZING app that changes lives! We have flyers and handouts and programs to give away Android tablets to teachers and classrooms to get the app into kids' hands so that they can start learning how to read the FUN, fast, easy way that is only now available through this free 12 hour learning game.
Our mission is to bring the app to millions of children in the next year who are either just learning how to read or who are struggling with reading.
Our Community Outreach Team members are individuals with diverse backgrounds and with diverse interests and talents; but most of all, they are individuals who have a willingness and enthusiasm for reaching out into their communities to help children who can't read.
So many people are suffering from illiteracy. Moms and dads don't know where to turn because schools are overwhelmed and kids aren't learning how to read, no matter how many years they attend our public schools. We simply need these parents and teachers to hear about FUNetix and give it a try. It's scientifically proven over 21 years of clinical trials to teach ANY child how to read in just 12 hours.
The ideal Community Outreach volunteers are enthusiastic, responsible, caring and motivated, and have perhaps seen the challenges of illiteracy, low literacy and low education that are plaguing many of our communities, are outgoing, friendly, creative, and are willing to both talk to and listen to people as they engage in a variety of public awareness campaigns to bring the FUNetix app to families with children in need as well as teachers and schools.
We are also always looking for new ideas and new ways to spread awareness in the community, which may include participating in street fairs or other events where parents and kids gather to hand out information and simple swag like balloons or silicone wristbands.
This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player. Even though many of our campaigns are locally based, our organization is virtual, with more than 60 volunteers spread o
