What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychologist in Corrections 370k/y position at Funk and Associates?
There is a need for 14 contract/relief psychologists at Susanville Desert state correctional facility. Full time 5*8 or 4*10 is desired but part time in person at .70 FTE may be an option for the right candidate. The facility is seeking a six month commitment. There will be 1 weeks of orientation 7A-330P M-F, and up to 40 hours of that can be paid at half the clinical rate.
This is a forensic facility, and the patients are forensic patients. A criminal background check, drug test, and CALPERS affidavit will be part of the hiring process.
An active CA psychology license, BLS certification, and malpractice insurance is required. The applicant must be authorized to work in the USA. We can assist with these on a case-by-case basis subject to rate adjustment.
Funk and Associates is owned by a relief psychiatrist and our goal is to deliver as much of the company's rate to the doctor as possible. As a result, malpractice insurance, licensing, transport, and lodging expenses are borne by the candidate, unless alternate arrangements are made. Our rates are listed as "up to" because calling out or inability to complete shifts is subject to a penalty from the client. These relief positions exist to backfill providers who are out sick or on vacation, so a committed provider is needed. Additionally for the top rate, the candidate will be paid when FAA is paid, typically 80 days after invoicing. Faster payment is subject to approval and will affect the rate. Advances are negotiable for new hires. Orientation is required by the facility and paid at half the patient care rate.
