Job purpose
The Retail Sales Attendant handles all merchandise sales at the park’s two gift shops. What is a trip to an amusement or water park if you don't buy a souvenir? If you can handle the responsibilities of money, have an outgoing personality, and know how to sell, this will be the perfect job for you.
Duties and responsibilities
Sales
- Uses a cash register.
- Handling money.
- Uses a credit card machine.
Merchandise
- Be knowledgeable about the merchandise in the store.
- Tidy up merchandise shelves.
- Restocks merchandise from stock room.
- Assists in organizing stock room.
Cleaning
- Cleaning the windows.
- Vacuuming Gift Shop Floors.
- Cleaning the counters and shelves.
- Taking out the trash.
- Keeping the Gift Shop looking its best.
Comply with all policies and procedures of Funtown Splashtown USA
- Follow all policies and procedures of the department.
- Maintain professional appearance following all uniform guidelines.
- Attend all required department, interdepartmental, and park trainings.
- You may be assigned to other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Be confident talking to guests.
- Retail Sales experience is preferred, but not required.
Working conditions
- This job requires working in an air-conditioned gift shop.
Physical requirements
- This position involves a mix of sitting, standing, and walking short distances. This position may involve lifting up to 30lbs at times.
