This position begins as part-time (1-20 clients), with the potential for the Pet Care Provider to transition to full-time (20-35 clients).

**What We’re Looking For:**

1. **Passion for Pets**: Previous experience in pet sitting or animal care.

2. **Certifications Required**: Pet CPR, Pet First Aid, and Pet Sitter Certifications must be completed before rendering services (links to certification courses provided after hire—don’t worry if you’re not certified yet!). Ongoing ACTIVE car insurance proof required.

Independent Contractor Responsibilities

Client Acquisition

FBPS provides leads to contractors, but true long-term success comes from harnessing those leads and completing the jobs.

Building Trust in the Community

Contractors are expected to build a reputation for reliability and quality care by:

  • Maintaining professionalism and dependability in every interaction.

Operating as a Sole Proprietor

While FBPS supports contractors with resources, contractors are responsible for managing their business, including:

Tiered Commission Structure

Initial 3-Month Exemption

  • During the first three months, contractors receive 80% commission on all FBPS bookings.
  • After this period, the tiered commission structure applies indefinitely.

Revenue Tiers

Tier One: Revenue ≤ $400

  • Commission: 70% contractor / 30% FBPS.
  • Example:
  • January Revenue: $221.46
  • February Commission: 70% contractor, 30% FBPS.

Tier Two: Revenue > $400 and < $2,000

  • Commission: 80% contractor / 20% FBPS.
  • Example:
  • March Revenue: $550.63
  • April Commission: 80% contractor, 20% FBPS.

Tier Three: Revenue > $2,000 and < $4,000

  • Commission: 85% contractor / 15% FBPS.
  • Example:
  • June Revenue: $3,240
  • July Commission: 85% contractor, 15% FBPS.

Tier Four: Revenue ≥ $4,000

  • Commission: 90% contractor / 10% FBPS.
  • Example:
  • November Revenue: $4,010
  • December Commission: 90% contractor, 10% FBPS.

Additional Rewards

  • Tier Two (3 Consecutive Months): Mystery gift gift card.

Key Notes on Revenue and Reporting

  • Revenue Definition: The total amount collected from clients before commissions are applied.
  • Reporting: Monthly reports are due by the 7th of each month, unless using automated software provided by FBPS.
  • Outside Jobs: FBPS does not collect commission on jobs sourced independently (e.g., Rover). These are not considered FBPS bookings.
  • Tips and Gifts: Contractors keep 100% of all tips and gifts, free of commissions.
