We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their well-being and happiness throughout the day. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and proper behavior.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of all dogs, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist in feeding, administering medications, and providing basic grooming as needed.
- Implement positive reinforcement techniques during training sessions or playtime.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their dog's day and any relevant updates.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to create a secure environment for both pets and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred; familiarity with dog training or grooming is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior and body language to ensure safe interactions.
- Ability to perform animal restraint techniques safely when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both pets and their owners.
- A genuine passion for animals and commitment to their well-being.
- Must be physically capable of lifting dogs of various sizes and standing for extended periods.
