As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional grooming experiences that leave both pets and their owners satisfied.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle animals safely and comfortably during grooming sessions, ensuring their well-being at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any observed health issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their concerns or requests.
- Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance service quality.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in dog handling and animal care, including animal restraint techniques.
- Knowledge of dog training methods is desirable.
- Familiarity with equine care can be beneficial but is not required.
- Experience working in a kennel or similar environment is advantageous.
