Our manufacturing facility operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where effective employee management and consistent recruiting are essential to maintaining productivity. We are seeking an HR Manager who will play a critical role in staffing, compliance, payroll processing, and HR operations. This position is responsible for overseeing HR functions, ensuring a compliant and engaged workforce, and supporting management in employee-related matters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Employee Management:
· Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for production and office staff, ensuring consistent hiring to meet operational needs.
· Establish relationships with temporary staffing agencies to manage fluctuating labor demands.
· Conduct pre-employment screenings, interviews, and onboarding for all new hires.
· Maintain accurate employee records, including new hire paperwork, terminations, and status changes.
· Track and manage employee attendance, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
· Maintain and update the Warehouse Employees Google Sheet used for production tracking.
· Oversee employee badge creation and timeclock setup.
Payroll & Compliance:
· Process high volume payroll in ADP Workforce Now (minimum 2-3 years of experience required).
· Verify timecards, correct missed punches, and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
· File and maintain I-9 documentation and ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws.
· Support and audit workers’ compensation claims and maintain OSHA reporting logs.
· Stay current with HR compliance requirements and labor laws to ensure company adherence.
HR Operations & Employee Engagement:
· Act as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, providing guidance to employees and supervisors.
· Develop and implement employee retention and engagement initiatives.
· Assist with organizing employee training sessions, including safety programs and compliance training.
· Ensure confidentiality in all HR functions, handling sensitive employee information with discretion.
· Support employee relations by addressing grievances, conducting exit interviews, and escalating concerns when necessary.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
· 3 years of experience in HR, in a manufacturing environment.
· 2-3 years of experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now is required.
· Strong understanding of labor laws, OSHA requirements, and workers’ compensation.
· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and HRIS systems.
· PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
· Sense of humor!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
· Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.

SALARY RANGE:
The base range for this position is 60-65K. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
