Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality and in accordance with industry regulations and company policies. This role ensures compliance with GMP, SQF, HACCP, FDA, and State regulations through auditing, verification of Certificates of Analysis (COAs), microbiological testing, and adherence to food safety protocols. The analyst will conduct case audits, mock recalls, self-inspections, and collaborate with operations, sanitation, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and uphold a culture of excellence.
Responsibilities
. Conduct regular audits and inspections of production areas to ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, HACCP, and FDA standards.
· Verify that raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products meet established quality specifications.
· Monitor production lines for proper sanitation and allergen control practices
· Perform in-process and finished product testing, including weight checks, temperature checks, and label verification.
· Conduct ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) and APC (Aerobic Plate Count) testing to assess hygiene and microbial load.
· Execute swabbing procedures for Listeria, Salmonella, and coliforms in production areas.
· Collect and submit samples for microbiological and analytical testing.
· Monitor compliance with food safety protocols, escalating issues to the QA Supervisor as needed
Skills
- Proficiency in TFS for test management and defect tracking.
- Strong understanding of business requirements analysis to translate them into actionable test cases.
- Experience in providing technical support within a software development environment.
- Knowledge of JDBC for database connectivity and SQL for data manipulation and queries.
- Familiarity with SOAP web services for integration testing.
- Experience with automated testing tools is a plus (e.g., C#).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to identify issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
