Responsibilities:
- Recruit prospective graduate students for Furman’s master’s degree programs.
- Envision typical and creative strategies for recruitment of graduate students, execute such strategies, and use data to evaluate their effectiveness (including travel to graduate school fairs or regional universities, developing relationships with regional organizations, meeting with prospective graduate students individually and in groups, hosting sessions, etc.).
- Implement graduate student recruitment strategies by segmenting audiences and messaging directly to prospective student publics.
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for prospective graduate students, providing access via face-to-face, phone, social media, and remote communication technologies.
- Maintain ongoing contact with applicants-in-process regarding all programs providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain detailed admissions records in Slate.
- Coordinate admissions decisions and notifications in a timely (and professional) fashion.
- Work as a collaborative member of the Graduate Studies office to advance university goals in graduate student enrollment and retention.
