Job Summary :
Summary : The post-baccalaureate fellow will lead planning and assist with strategic development of programs for the Furman University Community of Scholars, comprised of students who are recipients of Duke, Hollingsworth, Jolley, Lay, Mickel, Townes, and Vaughn merit scholarships. The Community of Scholars provides opportunities for intellectual growth, a sense of belonging, resources and mentorship especially designed for these students. Through this programming, scholars will benefit from opportunities to learn from and connect with experienced leaders in small settings, deepen their perspectives on issues facing their local and global communities, and surround themselves with equally engaged peers. The Community of Scholars contributes to Furman's recruitment and retention of high-achieving students by providing unique opportunities for these students, increasing their scholarships' value beyond monetary benefit and contributing to a more competitive scholarship package.
The post-baccalaureate fellow will also work with the institute's Director of Marketing, Communications and Strategic Alignment to write, edit, and produce content for multiple channels, including the Riley Institute's websites, social media channels (including X, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn), listserv, and print and digital publications (e.g., program and donor collateral, policy papers, etc.).

Works with Riley Institute's Director of Student Programs, Director for the Center for Critical Issues, Director of Marketing, Communications, and Strategic Alignment, and Furman's Community of Scholars Faculty Liaison; interacts with graduate and current scholars; and collaborates with Furman Institute staff and members of the community.

Work requires working with multiple programs simultaneously. Hours during the work week must be flexible to include working with various Riley Institute programs and events that are held on weekends and evenings.
