Who we are:

Furniture Industries, Inc. provides FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) to major hotel chains, Sr. Living, and commercial properties around the country. We are currently in significant growth mode and are looking to add a highly detail oriented, financially focused, individual to help us manage the finances / expenses / invoices for each of our 50 projects we are working on.

To oversimplify what we do, we design and furnish for the hospitality and commercial industry. We make sure that all the furnishings that go into a facility (furniture, carpeting, lighting, etc.) are delivered promptly and accurately.

Customers rely on us to design, purchase, and deliver this merchandise flawlessly to ensure on-time openings of their property.

We pass along our expenses to the clients and this individual needs to make sure that:

  • We are being invoiced accurately by our vendors
  • Our clients are being invoiced properly with the accurate mark-ups
  • The client is paying the agreed upon freight

Core Responsibilities

  • Generate and send out invoices to clients
  • Post deposits received by clients
  • Reconcile financials for each project
  • Apply accurate sales taxes depending on project location
  • Accounts receivable management
  • Post accounts payable transactions
  • Reconcile company credit cards and track expenses
  • Monthly reporting to accounting firm to reconcile company-wide financials

What are we looking for?

We need a highly detail oriented, reliable, and consistent individual who has a knack for numbers and understanding of finances.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred)
  • Bookkeeping experience of 3 years (preferred)
  • Past experience with vendor management and payment terms a plus
