What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Sales Specialist position at FURNITURE WAREHOUSE?
The Furniture Warehouse has 6 store locations along Florida's gulf coast and our corporate headquarters located in Sarasota, FL. Our 20,000 sq. ft. showrooms always offer great pricing, and our advertising can be seen across many avenues including TV, newspapers, direct mail and social media. The Furniture Warehouse was recently named Sarasota's Readers Choice Winner by the Community.
We are currently looking for super motivated, high energy individuals to apply for our Sales Associate position. If you have hospitality, customer service or any type of sales experience, we want to talk to you! We will train the right person. Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a working knowledge of the company products and policies
- Stay up to date on advertised sales events and financing promotions
- Greet customers, respond to questions, and provide outstanding customer service
- Assist customers in purchasing decisions, in particular room selections and design/style decisions
- Present and explain promotions to customers, special financing plans, delivery procedures, and warranties
- Input sales tickets into the retail software system per company guidelines
- Coordinate delivery between customer and the distribution/delivery system
- Expedite the resolution of customer concerns to maximize satisfaction
- Ensure an orderly appearance throughout the sales floor by cleaning, straightening and maintaining merchandise
- Assist in maintaining and safeguarding an accurate inventory
- Meet selling requirements and follow all rules as written in the company floor rule and sales guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, verbal and written, listening and follow up skills
- Ability to move furniture for product demonstration
- Ability to pass background check
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish helpful
- Ability to work evenings and weekends

Compensation
- Ranges from $45,000-$70,000 per year avg (top performers earning $65,000 - $85,000 ) through commission, bonuses and spiffs; guaranteed $100 per day
