Job Summary

Responsibilities

Pet Grooming Duties :

• Drive a 2023 Mercedes Sprinter van, equipped with advanced insulation, to scheduled appointments in the Hartford area.
• Perform professional grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling, tailored to customer preferences and breed standards.
• Ensure pets safety and comfort using gentle handling and positive reinforcement techniques.
• Assess pets coat, skin, and overall well-being, communicating concerns to owners as needed.
• Educate pet owners on grooming techniques and recommend home-care products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming van, sanitizing all tools and supplies.
• Schedule and manage appointments efficiently to maximize productivity.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a friendly, professional manner.

General Manager & Marketing Duties :

• Oversee day-to-day grooming operations, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.
• Train and mentor grooming staff to uphold company standards and customer service excellence.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
• Manage social media accounts, create engaging content, and respond to customer inquiries.
• Coordinate local events, promotions, and community outreach efforts to enhance brand awareness.
• Track key performance metrics and client feedback to optimize business growth.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and local pet businesses.

Requirements

• A genuine love for animals!
• Proven grooming experience, including knowledge of breed-specific grooming techniques.
• Valid grooming license for the service area (required).
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Ability to handle pets of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for excellent customer service.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality grooming services.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
• Certification from a grooming school or similar qualification (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs or temporarily handle large dogs.
• Marketing or management experience is a plus.
