Job Description
We are seeking a Feed Ingredient Trader to join our client's commercial team. The successful candidate will execute the business plan by purchasing feed ingredients and managing relationships with suppliers while ensuring the timely execution of sales contracts with buyers.They will work closely with grain elevators, feed manufacturers, and other stakeholders to grow and maintain a consistent book of business.
Key Responsibilities :
Trading & Execution
- Source and originate macro and micro feed ingredients from regional suppliers to meet demands of end-user customers
- Maintain accurate records of all contracts and ensure documentation aligns with company policies and standards
- Monitor contract performance address any issues that arise during or after execution with accounting, merchandising, or other relevant teams
- Ensure timely and cost-effective logistics management
- Work with Director of Risk Management to ensure the timely execution of trades and compliance with company position limits and industry regulation
- Conduct regular risk assessments and performance evaluations of existing hedging strategies, making adjustments as necessary to align with market conditions and company objectives
