Packaging Engineer
We have an immediate DIRECT hire opportunity for a Packaging Engineer at a food packaging plant in Monticello. The Packaging Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of product packaging from start to finish. The Packaging Engineer works with various departments, collaborating to develop solutions for customers.
Hours : 6am to 2 : 30pm OR 8am to 4 : 30pm M-F
Pay : $55,000 to $64,000

Packaging Engineer Responsibilities :
- Participate in the production of new products
- Conduct shelf-life trials and production trials to assess product and packaging performance under various conditions
- Document process and product information and feedback; maintain organized records for reference and analysis
- Serve as the primary liaison between departments during new item set-up and production launches
- Implement a structured process for trial runs and production launches, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives
- Monitor product safety and quality during active project phases, implementing necessary measures to maintain standards
- Assist in the optimization of production line layouts to enhance efficiency and streamline operations
- Set and monitor goals in coordination with the production team and costing personnel
- Provide comprehensive reports on yield data and improvement initiatives to the costing team
