Security Officer
Would you like to be part of the team of a local healthcare system? Furst is hiring an experienced Security Officer to work in a busy clinic setting. The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring that the clinic patients, visitors and staff have a safe environment in which to conduct business.
Hours :
Mon. – 10am - 7 : 30pm
Tues. – 11 : 30am - 9pm
Weds. – 11 : 30am - 9pm
Thurs. – 10am - 7 : 30pm
Fri. – 10am - 7 : 30pm
Sat. – Rotating 7am - 1pm
Pay : $15.00 to start; possible increase for experience or bilingual

Security Responsibilities :
Assist and direct patients, guests, and staff to clinic services or meeting areas
Assure the security of clinic property through inspection of facility security systems
Complete walk-through inspections
Identify building and grounds deficiencies and communicate with Facilities Director
Ensure building and door access codes remain secure
Assist patients, guests, and staff to de-escalate difficult situations
Assist fire department, police department and emergency services as needed
Assist the Facilities Director with work schedules and future planning needs of the department
Complete safety inspections / rounds as needed
Sign off in the computerized work system and write work request for any deficiencies
Assist with annual fire drills
Security Requirements :
Previous security experience preferred
Knowledge of security and safety issues
Demonstrate ability to follow written instructions
Ability to write Incident Reports
Must be able to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
Possess good communication skills with staff and patients
Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
Training and / or experience in security and safety
Knowledge of computerized cameras and security systems
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance System (CMMs)
