What You’ll Do
- Conduct regular and comprehensive safety audits in alignment with OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI standards, identifying potential hazards within Chewy Operations.
- Analyze findings to assess risks and implement effective corrective actions to enhance workplace safety and minimize risk.
- Document safety protocols, incident reports, and audit findings accurately, ensuring clarity and detailed record-keeping.
- Develop and deliver training sessions to educate and empower employees on safety protocols, standard processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build systemic corrective actions into policy updates, maintaining compliance and reducing process drift across the organization.
- Stay up to date with evolving regulatory standards and company policies, applying knowledge to continually improve safety procedures and mitigate risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, or related field preferred
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI safety standards.
- Proven experience in safety compliance auditing, preferably within an operations or distribution environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to identifying and resolving safety issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a talent for training and engaging employees at all levels on safety practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, with a proactive approach to risk assessment and process improvement.
