Accounting Admin / Title Clerk – Automotive Dealership
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Admin / Title Clerk to join our team at a Fury Motors. The ideal candidate will support the finance and sales departments by managing deal funding, processing documents, tracking rebates, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in dealership operations while collaborating with various team members.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic accounting functions, maintain clean schedules, and remitting service and warranty contracts.
- Assist with title-related tasks, including processing documents for state registration, obtaining missing paperwork, and ensuring tax and title forms are complete and accurate.
- Manage deal funding by verifying required documents, addressing discrepancies, and organizing paperwork for proper tracking.
- Process NVDRs, verify vehicle recall status, and ensure incentive and rebate accuracy.
- Track and resolve rebate issues, maintain related spreadsheets, and communicate with manufacturers for documentation or payment concerns.
- Manage inventory-related tasks, including entering used vehicle purchases into inventory, handling new and used car flips, and preparing title work for sold vehicles.
- Process lease buyouts, including payoffs and related accounting entries, and reconcile new and retired rental vehicles, including registration renewals.
- Bill deals for multiple locations, ensuring accuracy in trade-in, service contract, and rebate documentation, and submit contracts to appropriate agencies.
- Maintain and file sales records, including prices, payments, warranties, and service contracts, while safeguarding titles and MSOs for inventory.
- Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks, such as filing, assisting with dealer trades and auction buys, and addressing titling questions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automotive accounting, title work, or administrative roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS) and related software.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Chrysler/Stellantis processes is a plus.
