Warehouse Shipping Associate

We are looking for a shipping person to join our team. The successful candidate will have a background in the shipping industry, which includes strong organizational skills and the ability to keep detailed records. This position will be crucial in ensuring that all incoming products are recorded correctly and that outgoing shipments are completed on time.

The shipping position verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing all day. Non climate controlled environment .

· Print daily sales receipts and cross-check with "our" computer software to ensure accuracy.

· Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs.

· Pick daily orders.

· Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped.

· Track inventory and report any shortages to operation manager so we can update the inventory system.

· Contact freight carrier and schedule pick ups

· Operate lift trucks or hand trucks, move or hoist materials to proper locations.

· Unpack, examines, and routes incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

· Maintain inventory and shipping materials and supplies.

· Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

· Reports defective materials or questionable condition to the department manager.

· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Must be able to adapt and willing to cross train at any moment.

Must have excellent organizational, time management, listening, and communication skills.

Must be neat and willing to clean when asked.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.

Some experience required.

Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time-Day shift only (6:30am- 3:00pm)

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
