Boiler Lead Design Engineer

Schenectady, NY

Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Boiler Lead Design Engineer to join our client’s team in the Capital Region, New York area. This is a FT direct hire opportunity with a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and update QA / QC manual. Develop quality improvement programs and implement innovative production / manufacturing methods.
  • Generate the design and layout for Plant Equipment.
  • Work and communicate with fabricators and sub-suppliers to achieve optimum and most cost-effective component design.
  • The above work will be accomplished in 3D, utilizing SolidWorks software.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors and customers.
  • Able to participate in a team environment on assigned projects executing process engineering deliverables.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of the project scope and schedule as they apply to QA / QC.
  • Know ASME Code Material specification and appropriate use.
  • Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with emphasis in welding, materials and / or mechanical or industrial disciplines. PhD or licensed PE a positive.
  • Five or more years of related experience, in a manufacturing or production environment, including three years of supervisory / management responsibilities.
  • Proven history of progressively responsible leadership ability.
  • Ability to lead in a team-based environment.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
  • Ability to engage in multiple tasks at a time without losing concentration.
  • Good temperament to deal with people in all situations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, in English, to effectively communicate with clients, manufacturers, and co-workers.
  • Ability to maintain focus during distractions that could arise during production.
  • Must be able to follow instructions to the minutest detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to generate and present design equipment review presentations to both small and large groups.
  • Knowledge in MS Office and other MFG software.
  • Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
  • Possess excellent organizational, time management, and strong interpersonal skills.

    • Salary Range

  • 85-125k (Based on experience)
