PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR MANUFACTURING Fusco Personnel is actively recruiting for a Production Supervisor to work for a well-established manufacturing organization in Amsterdam, NY. This is a first shift, full-time, direct hire opportunity. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor oversees the Order Fulfillment Process (from quoting through shipping and invoicing) for their assigned market. Responsibilities Responsible for the development and performance of the plant personnel that work in their value stream. The direction and coordination of all production operations in their respective facility through subordinate supervisors and / or team leads. Subordinate functions include but are not limited to all of the following; assembly operations, machining operations, processing, treating, packaging and shipping. Oversee, monitor, and establish continuous improvement for the day to day manufacturing process Grow sales by coordinating with customer service, business development, estimating and sales personnel to Drive and maximize production throughput in a manner that meets customer specifications and company profitability goals. Maximize the profitability of the value stream Provide guidance, feedback and positive behavior modeling to hold employees, colleagues and internal stakeholders accountable to the company’s Take Care of Each Other cultural values Develop direct reports to allow them to achieve their personal and professional goals QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor's degree in technical field and four years of experience in management, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. At least two years of experience in a manufacturing industry is required. Knowledge of Quality Concepts (i.e. SPC, TQM, JIT) and Quality Systems (i.e. ISO 9000, Six Sigma, Zero Defects) is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing Very good math skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Technically competent and able to provide clear direction.
