- Prepare detailed cost reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuations, and project costing.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to costs and profitability.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Provide cost insights to support management in strategic decision-making.
- Conduct regular reviews of inventory levels and valuations.
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and reconcile variances.
- Develop and implement effective inventory control processes.
- Evaluate current processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to optimize costs.
- Implement and maintain standard costing systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for cost accounting processes.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
