Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure proper accounting for financial transactions.
- Assist in preparing schedules for external audits and tax filings.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Review and verify accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of internal reports and financial analyses for management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accounting standards, including GAAP.
- Collaborate with other departments to address any accounting-related questions or issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in financial regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of GAAP is preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with month-end close processes and reconciliations.
- Knowledge of tax compliance and filings.
- Experience with financial statement preparation.
