Job Description
The facility is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Electrical and Instrumentation Technician. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment throughout the facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and maintaining facility equipment
- Performing electrical preventive, repair, and calibration maintenance
- Completing work orders and requisitions
- Responding to emergency repairs during off-hours
- Traveling to other facilities when required
- Identifying and addressing improvement opportunities
- Following safety procedures and reporting hazards
- Working overtime and rotating shifts as needed
- Operating industrial equipment like forklifts and manlifts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in Industrial or Power Industry E&I Maintenance, or 2 years as a 3rd class E&I Technician
- Relevant licenses as required by regulations
- Military Electricians encouraged to apply (especially Coast Guard/Navy Electrician Mate's)
The work environment involves noise and various physical demands, including standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating fire safety equipment. Personal protective equipment is required.
