Job Title: MEP Technical Coordinator
Duration: 12 months with the option to extend or convert to a permanent employee.
Location: Virginia, with occasional travel to other job sites in WI, AZ, IA, TX, etc.
About Our Client: Our client is a leader in designing, building, and constructing mission-critical data centers, as well as installing equipment. Their Data Center Solutions/Secure Power Division has large contracts in progress, upcoming, and in the pipeline.
Position Overview: This onsite role requires coordination of equipment installation (UPS and Switchgear) and technical expertise in electrical site work and foreman/project management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the customer during equipment installation.
- Work with the electrical sub-contractor and answer questions.
- Coordinate site arrival, rigging, and placement.
- Document corrective actions, proof, Procore/Compass.
- Assist with yellow tag inspections.
- Review contract documents, drawings, submittals, equipment lists, Arc Flash studies, startups, and commissioning compliance.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders.
- Verify system installations meet project requirements.
- Manage large project sites and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Construction background, preferably electrical.
- ~2 years of trade school/college/journeyman experience.
- Adept at reading blueprints and associated building information.
- Proficiency in Adobe/Editing PDFs.
- Understanding of ATS, UPS, Switchgear functionality.
