RF Engineer
The Company
Established in over a decade ago and founded and funded by Veterans and Patriots, our client has developed airborne ISR terminals specifically for the U.S. warfighter—capabilities previously unavailable. Their antennas allow users, while in flight, to select the frequency band and target satellite needed to support the mission in real time. Proudly built in the USA.
They are looking for RF Electrical Engineers to support their products with their current clients as well as the expansion into new clients. They will have skills in designing, developing and maintaining wireless communication systems. This role involves working with technologies such as antennas, modems, power amplifiers and other modules used in wireless communication.
Responsibilities of RF Engineer
This self-motivated team member will focus and complete assigned tasks yet also adjust to changing priorities and schedules and coordinate several tasks in multiple areas. Work instructions may be verbal or written, working closely with other engineers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design and Development: Create RF schematic block diagrams and perform complex RF design analysis.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Test RF design elements and troubleshoot RF circuit issues.
- System Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet overall system requirements.
- Optimization: Use network analysis tools to optimize RF networks and perform RF path loss calculations.
- Documentation: Create and update RF documentation, including technical specifications and schematics.
- Compliance: Ensure designs comply with industry including DOD standards and regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers and team members.
Qualifications for the RF Engineer
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 10 years RF experience
- Enthusiastic team player, skilled at working with other professionals (including engineers) in a close-knit, dynamic group, eager to develop solutions and handle multiple assignments.
- Ability to communicate within teams and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of RF technologies, testing equipment and procedures
- Familiarity with RF simulation software and a strong understanding of RF principals and theory
- Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters and current and voltage probes.
- Familiarity with SystemView, design software (MATLAB, Python), PBC design software (OrCAD, Altium Designer, KiCAD, Proteus)
- Keeps up to date with latest RF technology trends and advancements
- Experience in digital communication protocols and signal conversion techniques a plus as well as experience with RF environments and wireless communications in electronic warfare domains.
Salary : $150,000 - $190,000
