The ideal candidate will have experience in data management, business analysis, and data governance frameworks, with a strong ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Monitor and enforce data standards, definitions, and lifecycle management across enterprise systems.
- Conduct data audits and profiling to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data-related projects and initiatives.
- Identify and resolve application performance and availability issues efficiently.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications, business rules, and data mappings for IT teams.
- Perform data analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand business processes and data needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business objectives.
- Provide training and support to business users on data management best practices.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in data management and business analysis.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data governance and business intelligence.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to data systems and business processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (CBAP, CDMP) are a plus.
- At least two (2) years of experience in data management or data stewardship roles.
- Knowledge of Hospitality, Gaming, and/or Accounting applications.
- Experience with data governance tools, data quality tools, and business intelligence platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with SQL, Cognos, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with agile principles and practices.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders, team members, product owners, and management.
- Must be available for on-call support on a rotational basis.
