What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage Service Requests: Oversee and prioritize work requests to meet service level objectives and KPIs.
- Web Administration: Provide crucial support for web server functions, ensuring stable logging and performance metrics.
- Scripting & Automation: Create shell scripts to automate processes and streamline operations.
- Enterprise Infrastructure: Administer enterprise directory services and supporting server infrastructure, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- System Integration: Develop strategies for integrating diverse operating environments to ensure seamless performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend and execute improvements to server environments for better efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve complex issues involving servers, Active Directory, VMWare, and network connections using internal systems.
- Project Management: Establish milestones, task priorities, and effort estimates for technical projects.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of system configurations, processes, and service logs.
- Disaster Recovery & Security: Perform audits, backups, and recovery procedures to maintain security and business continuity.
- System Performance: Monitor and report on system performance, offering insights into capacity and improvement opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work with vendors, peers, and contractors to ensure successful system implementations and upgrades.
- Incident Management: Respond to emergency outages and provide critical support in accordance with business continuity plans.
- Experience: 7 years in the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure systems, including experience with Microsoft server operating systems, Active Directory, VMware, and Linux platforms.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in server hardware and network equipment, including SCSI, RAID, and I/O topology, as well as high availability solutions (e.g., clustering, data replication).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working in regulated environments such as MICS, PCI, and SOX.
- ITSM Practices: Familiarity with ITSM practices and the ability to work efficiently within structured processes.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of systems configuration, security principles, and maintenance best practices. Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, NPT, SMTP, SFTP, SCP, SSH, IIS, and PowerShell.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform fault isolation, testing, and data mapping.
- Certifications: Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware) and a commitment to continued education.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in MIS or a similar technical field, or relevant industry experience.
- Authorization: Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Gaming Certification: Ability to obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other required certifications.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation and the ability to adapt under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-Oriented: Collaborative and able to communicate effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
