Job Description
As a locum hematology-oncology specialist, you will be responsible for providing medical care to patients in a clinic setting and making hospital visits as needed. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and treating patients with various types of cancer and blood disorders.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, and disease management.
- Ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting results to inform treatment decisions.
Requirements:
- Current licensure in Montana or eligible for Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) licensure.
- Board certification in hematology-oncology or eligibility for board certification within a specified timeframe.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and comply with relevant medical and regulatory standards.
Work Environment:
- Clinic setting with variable schedules, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Call responsibilities may include responding to after-hours calls from patients and families.
