Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Palos Heights, Illinois.
Job Description:
- Work as a member of a dynamic cath lab team providing high-quality patient care and procedural support.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Evaluate patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatments.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, including angioplasty machines and fluoroscopy units.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering questions.
- Position patients correctly for optimal imaging results.
- Administer medications and contrast agents as needed.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as X-ray and ultrasound machines.
- Analyze images to identify potential health issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- CRT or ARRT certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CI).
- 1 year of experience in a cath lab setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
